Heard Museum West, now open in Surprise, is the Northwest Valley 's newest destination for permanent and changing exhibitions, shopping, classroom activities, lectures and hands-on activities for families. Open Tuesday-Sunday 9:30am-5pm Sahuaro Ranch Park Historical AreaPreserving one of the Valley's oldest and most magnificent ranches, the 17-acre Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area features 13 original buildings, a rose garden, barnyard and historic orchards. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places and known as the "Showplace of the Valley," the Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area offers activities, exhibits and guided tours - keeping the history of early settlement in the Valley alive. This unique site offers annual events, tours, rental opportunities and a chance to step back in time.
